Story Bug’s books delighted customers who purchased — but too few visitors reached checkout.

Analytics and post-purchase surveys revealed that most buyers were grandparents shopping on desktop, seeking reassurance, readability, and emotional connection. They wanted to be the hero grandparent giving a heartfelt keepsake that made their grandchild feel loved.

Yet the site spoke to a younger, mobile-first audience: small fonts, influencer-style visuals, vague copy, and buried fulfillment info created hesitation during what should’ve been their strongest season.
